MULTIMEDIA RESOURCES

The second major area of research in the Nehm lab is documenting patterns of marine biodiversity change in the Caribbean over the past 10 million years (Nehm, 2001d). This work includes museum research studies of previously collected material. Field research in the Dominican Republic has also provided numerous bulk samples rich in benthic mollusks through a five million year sequence. Some of these samples are currently being washed, prepared, sorted, identified, and studied to determine how current Caribbean biodiversity patterns originated.
